Serenity Prayer
Universe, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change.
The courage to change the things I can.
And the wisdom to know the difference.
A close friend shared this a few days ago via fb. It grabbed me and has been a repeating mantra in my mind since.
One day at a time.

Green Goddess Smoothie (my version)
I'm back! It's been over 4 yrs. since I posted last -- how can that be??! -- but with a renewed desire to write, share, contribute via this blog, let's see where it goes. Easing back into it, here's my current favorite green smoothie - this IS the most refreshing, satisfying, delicious breakfast that always leaves me feeling clean, light, and full of energy.
1/2 banana - pre-cut & frozen
1/2 cup frozen mango, pineapple, or papaya
1/2 navel orange
1/2 cucumber
1 cup raw baby spinach
1 tbls hemp seeds (try Org Hemp Hearts)
splashes of water as needed
Blend, pour, enjoy!
The wonderful thing about smoothies is you add or subtract to suit your tastes. The nutrients are easily digestible and they're quick to prepare for a meal on the go. My kids love them too - it's a great way to get greens in their little bellies.
